- You're puzzled as to why boys talk about cars so much
- You're slightly shocked as to the topics of guy's conversation
- You're pretty sure you have no idea how to flirt but whatever you're doing seems to work anyway, although you're not sure if that's a good thing.
I'm fairly sure most of my readers are going/have been to co-ed schools, so I'm wondering if any of the above points apply to you or you just used to it because you've had to work with guys for most of your life. Or you know someone who went to a single sex school and has recently moved to a co-educational environment and is experiencing the same symptoms. Comment! =P
I feel like I should be back in year 9 again being all excited about the Trinity boys coming for ballroom dancing lessons, which is something I never felt at the time. I MISSED OUT ON AN IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT STAGE. Now I have to learn quickly, to catch up. Don't get me wrong I loved going to an all girls school, the atmosphere was pretty much made of awesome most of the time and if I have children and get the opportunity to send them to single sex schools, I probably will. But I think it's also important to have a social life/opportunity to mix with the opposite sex, which I never had because of many factors. So now, with a lot of my new friends being guys it's all a bit new. I do still think they're all awesome though, the girls too.
This little insight was brought on by my weekend escapades, which were all fun. Even work was ok, mainly because one of the guys decided he'd bring in a CD containing the songs of various boy bands and play them while he and another guy worked in the kitchen, so I got to listen to two 18-20ish year-old guys sing along to the Backstreet Boys with unrestrained enthusiasm.
