It's November!

It's terrible that we have gotten to the 9th of November and I haven't written a blog post yet, I guess I'm compelled to write one in the vain hope that the average blog post per month may climb a little.

But on to the actual content for this post...

Firstly, I have handed in all necessary assignments in for the end of semester which means that I wrote a vast number of words last week and also took a couple of 55 minute trips to uni only to actually be on campus for a 10 minutes. I love not having a drivers license. I'm officially on holidays now and have already started forgetting what day is what. =P

The other thing that I wanted to mention in this post is also uni related, or degree related I suppose. It's just that for some reason at work, whenever I tell people I'm doing an Arts degree people make the comment that I "don't seem like the type of person that would do an arts degree".

Huh?

I mean, don't get me wrong I like the people that I work with and I don't think ill of them or anything because they made this comment. I just think it's a bit interesting, considering they've never seen me outside of work or with my friends or even wearing anything other than my work uniform. The fact they make this comment is interesting because they have only seen me in the work environment with very little way of judging what type of person I am and yet still construct me to a particular "type" of person.

What's perhaps most strange about it is that largely correct in their assumption, as if it hadn't been for certain circumstances I wouldn't be doing anything related to the arts. I guess the question that I'm asking here is..

I am that predictable???

Not that I really care because as I have mentioned before I do endeavour to change degrees at some point. Although I am kinda proud for subverting societal expectations of me, even though it's not entirely of my own doing.

I think that's all I have to say for now.
